I’m so happy that you’re here!

Welcome! My name is Lana and I live in a lovely village on Long Island, New York.

I’ve always dreamed of making my 1926 Long Island cottage into the charming home that I knew it could be. In 2017, I renovated after 20 years of living in my home. The house only grew by about 9 square feet as a result of the renovation but it was transformational in terms of being able to bring my vision to life!

Living in a small space is challenging — 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and no dining room to speak of in our approximately 900 square foot space. But I think I made the most of what I had to work with. From shiplap, to white oak floors, to Vermont Danby marble counters, to creating a lovely porch that overlooks the park with summer concerts across the street — I couldn’t be more pleased with the result.

But that was just the beginning. Now I delight in decorating my home with charming pieces that spark joy. I also love to bake and most weeks you will find me in the kitchen working on baking something that is both delicious and visually appealing — I love all things cute and whimsical! I also love to decorate my bar and love adding fun and visually interesting bottles to my collection.

Another passion of mine is English pottery – dishes and tableware from Stoke-on-Trent, England. Burleigh, Royal Stafford, Spode — I love and own many patterns and enjoy creating tablescapes that turn an ordinary meal into something special.
